La Nave is a 450-square-meter hybrid environment located in Sant Adrià de Besòs, Spain, combining the headquarters of a tech company with the personal residence of a founder. The design emphasizes an open floor plan with mobile, double-access volumes that provide flexibility between work and home life. Circulation through La Nave mimics a game level, featuring raised platforms and staircases that promote fluid movement. The spatial strategy leverages cost-effective industrial materials to achieve a rich, labyrinthine layout on a strict budget.
The project houses both the headquarters of a tech company and the personal residence of one of its founders, developed on a shoestring budget.
A network of raised platforms, switchback staircases, and intersecting routes allows multiple ways to move through the space, promoting a non-hierarchical layout.
