Atelier Pierre Thibault has revitalized the 1960s Maison A, originally designed by Jacques de Blois, through careful restoration and expansion. The project, which began in 2014, modernizes the structure while preserving its architectural essence. A new annex aims to meet the functional demands of today's inhabitants, framing the main entrance and providing a linear arrangement of spaces. The original core is maintained with a central wooden element delineating various living areas, enhanced by new skylights and glass features that invite natural light and scenic views into the home.
The intervention by Atelier Pierre Thibault effectively reestablishes the spatial integrity of Maison A while blending old and new architectural elements seamlessly.
New annex connects modern needs with historical structure, using light colors and extensive glazing to create continuity between spaces and nature.
