"As content becomes ever more abundant our client base grows, so as a business we've been expanding rapidly amid coronavirus. Part of this expansion has meant investing in a facelift not only for the office but the brand too. It has also meant having a lot of fun along the way, building out some rather awesome studios for our clients to play in once this is all over."
"One of these recording studios has, for the interim, become my new part-time office. I thought 'why not?' While the team are away the boss shall play - that's the saying, right? With each wall padded with foam to absorb echo, a large 75inch screen on the wall, two studio speakers and four podcast microphones, walking into the 'office' each morning feels like I am about to present the morning breakfast show to the nation."
Oliver Bruce began renovating offices in late 2020, which temporarily turned the workspace into a dusty, half-built shell with cables and random carpet. The business expanded rapidly amid coronavirus, prompting investment in an office and brand facelift and construction of podcast studios for future client use. One podcast studio became a part-time office, padded with foam to absorb echo and equipped with a 75-inch screen, two studio speakers and four microphones. The padded studio provides greater focus and a broadcast-like atmosphere compared with a glass open-plan office. Continued office attendance stems from habit and limited home workspace.
