"After spending many years in rented apartments, this is the first space my family and I can truly call our own. We wanted it to feel calm, grounded, and filled with quiet warmth, a place that reflects who we are,"
"Working with 27MM Collaborative made that possible; they translated our thoughts into a home that feels both modern and deeply personal."
"The home was a bare shell when we first saw it - untouched, raw, and full of potential. There were no pre-existing finishes or partitions, just open space waiting to find its rhythm,"
"In many ways, that blank canvas was liberating; it allowed us to craft every element: the flow, proportions, and material palette, with complete intentionality. From the beginning, we could envision how light would move through the space, how textures would layer, and how each corner could tell its own story."
A family took possession of a 1,200-square-foot new-construction apartment in Mumbai in 2024 after a decade-long redevelopment delay. The family wanted a calm, grounded home filled with quiet warmth that reflected their identity. Designers from 27MM Collaborative received a layered brief prioritizing seamless flow, openness combined with intimacy, and design that supports daily life. The space arrived as a bare shell without finishes or partitions, enabling intentional decisions about flow, proportions, and the material palette. The resulting interior emphasizes natural light, layered textures, and thoughtfully composed corners to create a personal, modern, and serene living environment.
