"Among the wooded hills of the Sao Paulo countryside, Fazenda Pinheiro reaffirms that architecture can evolve in dialogue with time."
"Built in the 1980s as the headquarters of a farm, the house was restored by the Lamas Team with the purpose of reclaiming its essence and adapting its spaces to a contemporary way of living, while simultaneously enhancing the connection between architecture and landscape."
Located among the wooded hills of the Sao Paulo countryside, Fazenda Pinheiro demonstrates architecture evolving in dialogue with time. Built in the 1980s as the farm headquarters, the house underwent restoration by the Lamas Team. The restoration reclaimed the building's original essence and reconfigured interior spaces for contemporary living. Materials and spatial organization were adapted to support modern daily use while maintaining historical character. Landscape relationships were reinforced through openings, circulation, and site-sensitive interventions. The project balances conservation and adaptation to ensure practical use, aesthetic continuity, and stronger integration between built form and surrounding rural landscape.
