Are There Certain Yoga Poses You Shouldn't Teach?

The article discusses the evolving perspective of a yoga instructor on safety in yoga poses. Initially, the author was overwhelmed by warnings about various poses deemed unsafe. However, after witnessing students perform these poses without issues and suffering discomfort in 'safe' poses, they began to question this conventional wisdom. Through deeper study, the author concluded that poses cannot be universally labeled as safe or unsafe; individual factors play a significant role in the assessment of risks and rewards in practice.
Each movement or position varies in its potential risks and rewards for each individual, depending on their anatomical proportions, experience with yoga, injuries, and current capacity.
Eventually, I came to realize that poses aren't objectively 'safe' or 'unsafe'. My list of 'dangerous' poses changed to reflect a new perspective.
