The Blake Cottage Trust announced that £55,000 has been raised from various organisations to fix the thatched roof of the picturesque cottage, enabling its restoration.
The work on the cottage will take place in stages, starting with securing its fabric, and eventually returning it to its appearance during Blake's lifetime.
