'We Are Lady Parts' Creator Nida Manzoor Explored the Gray Areas in Season 2
Briefly

Lady Parts ends up squeezed on both sides: by a white-male-run record label that wants to change their sound and by their musical icon Sister Squire (Meera Syal), a fellow Muslim punk rocker who dismisses Lady Parts's music as "funny" rather than weighty.
Where season 1 was about the joy of companionship, season 2 explores staying true to oneself against outside scrutiny. Series creator Nida Manzoor didn't initially plan for this direction.
