Victoria London's poem, The Feathered Loves, is unveiled on the mural at Hester Court, serving as a tribute to her legacy as a hidden poet and nurturer.
Her granddaughter, Jennifer, expressed pride in the mural, stating, 'My grandmother was known for tending to a little garden, but people didn't know she also wrote poetry.'
Council leader Cllr Barry Rawlings highlighted the unveiling as part of a broader housing renewal program, emphasizing community involvement in the design and transformation process.
Deputy council leader Cllr Ross Houston praised the collaboration on the housing scheme, noting, 'This is a community-led co-production for more affordable homes with sustainability and better access.'
