Processing Childhood Domestic Abuse
Briefly

It is estimated that between three and ten million children witness violence between their parents or caregivers each year, and many children exposed to violence in the home are also victims of physical abuse themselves.
Children who experience domestic violence often grow up to continue the cycle of abuse, either as an abuser or a victim in their own romantic relationships as adults.
My picture book, The Big Bad Wolf in My House, explores the topic of domestic violence through metaphor and a developmental lens.
I had noticed for a long time that teachers and caregivers lacked the resources to adequately intervene with children.
