Olympic Last Supper' scene was in fact based on painting of Greek gods, say art experts

The scene in the Olympics opening ceremony was inspired by a 17th-century Dutch painting of Greek Olympian gods, not The Last Supper as some critics claimed.
The creative director, Thomas Jolly, clarified that the scene titled Festivity was centered around Dionysus, the god of feasting and wine, and not a direct imitation of The Last Supper as suggested by critics.
