Before Oct. 7, Gaza's streets reflected life and beauty. Despite the backdrop of numerous wars, I felt proud to see thriving businesses and restaurants in my city.
The constant fear of war and displacement is familiar, yet I had always resisted leaving my home. This time, survival compelled us to escape to safety.
With the onset of war, basic necessities became scarce. We struggled to secure water and faced power and gas shortages, forcing us to adapt our cooking methods.
This war is different; we confront not only physical destruction but a depletion of essential resources, challenging our resolve and daily survival.
