Dear Not a Momma's Boy, Twist! While reading this letter, I didn't expect this to be coming from this woman's son! Call me gendered, but this feels like behavior more typical of someone who regards her daughter as one of her girlfriends...Something like, 'Mom, you know that I support you, but I'm really not comfortable talking about your sex life with you,' could do the trick.
A little bit of tough love here, in fact, may galvanize her to find someone with whom it would be more appropriate to discuss such matters. Such a boundary could have the effect of kicking the mama out of the nest...as the baby bird. Stranger things have happened.
