I was 83 when I finally enrolled at art school. With 13 children to feed and educate, being an artist wasn't an option until later in life.
Despite the challenges, my family was united, and we never talked about the past, nor was there any sense of bitterness about our history.
After my wife fell ill with Alzheimer's disease, it inspired me to finally pursue my passion for painting and take a serious approach to my art.
It took me seven years to graduate because I had to combine my studies with work, but I finally graduated at age 90.
