Toronto judoka Shady Elnahas suffered a Round of 16 loss to Swiss Daniel Eich in the under-100kg category with expectations of a medal at Paris Olympics.
Elnahas, who ranked third globally for his weight class, faced Eich, who came ninth at the world championships, in a highly anticipated match.
