Trey Yingst Interviews Iran Protester Shot In the Face
"I went out at night and it was really more aggressive. I remember in one case there was like 20 or 30 militias and motorcycles parked in front of us with, like 200 meters away. They just took a shotgun and then they just shoot it and the next thing I knew was the pellets started hitting my chest and my jaw."
"President Donald Trump has shown support for the protesters and suggested the United States will be taking action. Iranian Patriots, KEEP PROTESTING TAKE OVER YOUR INSTITUTIONS!!! Save the names of the killers and abusers. They will pay a big price. I have cancelled all meetings with Iranian Officials until the senseless killing of protesters STOPS. HELP IS ON ITS WAY, the president wrote in a Truth Social post this week."
An Iranian student protester escaped the country and described being shot at and wounded by militia during demonstrations, with his face blurred and voice disguised for protection. Estimates put the death toll between roughly 2,500 and more than 12,000 and there is widespread fear that detained anti-government protesters may face execution. The protester said pellets hit his chest and jaw and that others suffered more severe injuries, including eye wounds. President Donald Trump expressed support for protesters, urged them to continue, canceled meetings with Iranian officials, and said help is on the way.
