"Starlink says its focus is "on enabling connectivity for new and existing customers to support the people of Venezuela." SpaceX's Starlink is offering Venezuelan customers temporary free access by applying service credits to active accounts through February 3 and allowing paused or canceled accounts with existing hardware to reactivate at no cost. Power and internet outages affected parts of Caracas and other regions after U.S. forces captured President Nicolás Maduro and his wife. Starlink does not yet formally operate in Venezuela and lists service as "coming soon" while it monitors evolving conditions and regulatory requirements with no timeline for local purchase availability. SpaceX previously provided free service in Ukraine following the 2022 invasion.
