Pakistani rights lawyer Imaan Mazari-Hazir, 32, and her husband Hadi Ali Chattha were arrested while en route from the Islamabad High Court and taken to undisclosed locations. They were accompanied by Islamabad High Court Bar leadership during the arrest. Family and lawyers reported being denied access and supplies and alleged police used violence. The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan condemned the arrests as an abuse of authority and called for immediate release. Authorities charged the couple under cyber-terrorism, hate speech and false information sections over X posts critical of security forces and missing persons responses.
