Israeli aerial attacks in northern Gaza and Beit Lahiya killed more than 100 Palestinians and at least two additional people, according to Gaza health authorities and al-Shifa Hospital. Israel said it targeted weapons storage and senior Hamas fighters and claimed some strikes neutralized immediate threats and killed dozens. The bombardment followed the reported killing of an Israeli soldier in Rafah and came despite a fragile ceasefire that began on October 10. The strikes have retraumatized civilians, many displaced and sheltering in schools, and prompted Qatar and other mediators to push for truce continuation and disarmament of Hamas.
