Tensions in the Strait of Hormuz are rising as US President Trump has ordered the Navy to 'shoot and kill' boats laying mines. The US has also seized a vessel accused of smuggling Iranian oil. Iranian leaders have stated that peace talks cannot occur while the US blockade of Iranian ports remains in place. They insist that no delegation will travel to Pakistan until the blockade is lifted, effectively shutting down the crucial Strait of Hormuz.
