A tragic incident occurred at a highway construction site in South Korea where part of a structure collapsed, leading to the deaths of at least three workers and injuring seven others. The collapse took place around 9:50 a.m. near Cheonan, approximately 50 miles from Seoul, during the building of a bridge. Reports indicate that five steel beams, around 164 feet in length, gave way one after the other. Emergency teams are actively searching the rubble as officials continue to gather information about the event.

The collapse happened during the construction of a bridge connecting sections of the highway, Yonhap, a South Korean news agency, reported.
A video published by Yonhap shows part of a structure supported by columns breaking into pieces and plunging to the ground.
Emergency crews were searching through the rubble for victims, South Korea's National Fire Agency said.
