Labour has already pledged to abolish zero-hours contracts, but it needs to go further. The gender, ethnicity and disability pay gaps should be tackled head-on, with more provisions made for flexible, remote, and hybrid working, as well as better leave policies for carers, and those experiencing miscarriage or menopause or undergoing fertility treatment.
