Babita Paudel, a biochemist and co-founder of the Center for Natural and Applied Sciences (CENAS) in Nepal, is dedicated to advancing women in STEM careers. She has had a diverse research journey, from studying antioxidants in Antarctica to isolating bacteria in Nepal. Beyond her research, Paudel leads initiatives to empower women in science through training programs and establishing connections among female scientists. Her work is supported by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and aims to inspire and elevate the presence of women in the scientific community in Nepal.
