Men believe they are getting ahead by working in the office, while women see greater lifestyle advantages from hybrid work that could help keep them on track during busy mid-career years.
52% of men at the outset of their careers reported that being in the office enhanced their opportunities to be coached and developed, compared to just 30% of women in the same age group.
The gender gap suggests that young women may not be receiving the same advancement opportunities as men, leading to the office being a 'springboard' for young men to advance more quickly.
