Jade Konkel, a 32-year-old former Scotland back row, will end her playing career at the conclusion of the 2025–26 season. Konkel won 74 caps for Scotland and played in two Rugby World Cups. She made her Scotland debut as a 19-year-old against England in the 2013 Six Nations and will step down from international duty after the 2025 World Cup. Konkel became the first woman to sign a professional contract with Scottish Rugby in 2016. She joined Harlequins in 2018, was named captain in 2023, balanced rugby with work as a London firefighter, and earned Quins' Women's Player of the Season awards in 2022–23 and 2024–25.
