"Asti Week is exactly what it sounds like: a five-day toast to Asti Spumante and Moscato d'Asti DOCG. These are the feather-light, fruit-forward bubbles you might usually save for dessert-but this week they're front and center. Every participating restaurant will greet diners with a complimentary glass of Asti Spumante (think fragrant pear, acacia and white flowers) or Moscato d'Asti (lower alcohol, peachy, lightly sweet and gently fizzy)."
"Once you've sipped your welcome, the real fun starts: Each restaurant has picked a dish that pairs perfectly with these Italian sparklers. Expect everything from focaccia with buffalo milk stracciatella at Amo Seafood to sea urchin spaghetti at Palma. Even La Dong is proving Moscato works beyond Italy with a pomelo salad layered with shrimp, lemongrass and spicy tamarind dressing."
Asti Week runs September 15–19 across New York City and offers complimentary pours of Asti Spumante and Moscato d'Asti at participating Italian restaurants. Asti Spumante brings fragrant pear, acacia and white-flower notes, while Moscato d'Asti offers lower alcohol, peachy, lightly sweet and gently fizzy character. Diners receive a welcome glass and some locations also serve cocktails. Each restaurant pairs the sparkling wines with a specific dish, ranging from focaccia with buffalo milk stracciatella and sea urchin spaghetti to scallops, tagliatelle in a parmigiano wheel and a pomelo shrimp salad. Participating venues span Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens and include Amo Seafood, Palma, Osteria Brooklyn and others.
