Every year, Wine Spectator releases its special, annual Restaurant Awards issue, recognizing restaurants with interesting wine selections that pair well with cuisine. This year, 3,777 dining destinations globally were honored on three levels.
Manhattan boasted 190 spots on the list, featuring a mix of newcomers like Coqadoq and established favorites like Gramercy Tavern. The strong wine programs at venues like Gabriel Kreuther, Eleven Madison Park, and others were highlighted.
Marvin R. Shanken, Editor and Publisher of Wine Spectator, noted the restaurant industry's growth post-pandemic, leading to increased investment in wine programs to cater to the rising demand.
