'I used AI to build Ireland's first black-led wine club'

In the Californian wine region of Lodi, where I grew up, wine and its appreciation was just a part of everyday life. In 2021, I quite literally won the lottery to move to Ireland for a year. I loved everything about this country - the pace of life, the burgeoning food scene and the people. The only thing missing was black wine culture and I felt like it was my job to bring it here.
Nearly five years ago, I'd just turned 21 and I was working as a kitchen porter at a wine bar in London while I was pursuing my first master's degree. Here, I got familiar with wine and the joy that goes into making it. Even after I moved back home, I wanted more adventure, so I applied for an Instagram competition to win a free year to live in Ireland, and to my absolute delight, I won.
