The structure emerges amid a sloping site in Brittany, where a group of monumental trees take over its middle part. Given the construction allowance in only two places, the architects designed a modest main residence with an annex for the spacious site.
The sloping site was seen as an opportunity by CHANGE.NL, allowing the team to build the annex in two layers to keep the footprint compact while integrating both volumes into the landscape.
The chestnut wood-clad house designed by CHANGE.NL references the fishing huts along the Breton coast, incorporating panoramic sea views in the living room and kitchen with wide glass openings.
