Mixed reality headband concept offers a simple solution to a common usability problem - Yanko Design
Briefly

Many companies herald extended or mixed reality as the future of computing, yet current technologies like Vision Pro and Quest 3 offer limited solutions to challenges of isolation. Users find the headsets cumbersome; frequent removal can lead to reduced usage. A proposed frame concept design, similar to a visor, allows users to lift the front panel for an unobstructed view of reality while still providing augmented experiences. This innovative approach aims to enhance user interaction and peripheral vision, creating a more seamless blend of digital and physical worlds, though it may appear unconventional.
Instead of a fixed headset shape, it's more like a visor where the front part that holds the lenses and optics can easily be lifted up, giving you an unobstructed view of the world around you.
As powerful as the likes of the Vision Pro and Quest 3 are, they haven't solved many of the problems that literally isolate us from our own world.
