Apple has cut its shipment estimates for the full year to 400,000-450,000 units, significantly lower than the 'market consensus' of 700,000-800,000 units. The reduced demand in the US has led to this conservative approach in estimating demand for other markets as well.
The Vision Pro headset seems to have lost its initial appeal, with demand falling below Apple's expectations. As a consequence, Apple is reevaluating its release roadmap and may not introduce a new Vision Pro model in 2025.
