Commanders have two stars dreaming of Washington after years of being ignored

Washington has a remaining need at second wide receiver, with third-round pick Antonio Williams as a possible solution if he exceeds expectations. Two veteran wide receivers are expected to be available in free agency and both want to come to Washington. Brandon Aiyuk is linked to quarterback Jayden Daniels through a close relationship, since Daniels was Aiyuk’s quarterback at Arizona State in 2019. Stefon Diggs is also connected to Washington through his Maryland roots and has been cleared of wrongdoing in a 2025 domestic dispute. Despite a 5-12 record, Washington is described as an attractive destination, and Daniels is expected to prove himself again in Year 3.
