Lisa Kersavage has been nominated by Mayor Zohran Mamdani to serve as the new chair of the Landmarks Preservation Commission. She has over 20 years of experience in preservation and urban planning, having worked at LPC for more than a decade. Kersavage previously served as LPC's executive director and director of special projects. She has been instrumental in clearing a backlog of landmark designations and has worked on various initiatives, including the Historic Data Project. Kersavage expressed her honor in being nominated and her commitment to advancing the mayor's agenda.
