Ovechkin never strayed too far from his teammates through his rehab process, traveling with the Capitals on multiple road trips and refusing to not be involved in the team's day-to-day despite that usually being the norm for players with long-term injuries.
Head coach Spencer Carbery revealed the good news after the team's optional morning skate, mentioning that Alexander Ovechkin will return tonight against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
