Venus Lounge, conceptualized by asap/adam sokol architecture practice, transforms a conventional interior into a dynamic landscape intermingling architecture, art, and astronomy. Central to the design is a striking 5-meter-wide representation of Venus, crafted in collaboration with artist Paul Taylor utilizing the photogravure technique. Aimed at challenging typical lounge experiences, it promotes flexible social interactions through an undulating layout. The choice of materials and atmospheric lighting enhances the celestial theme, creating a cohesive and immersive environment where art and architecture intersect.
The Venus Lounge reimagines a lounge experience by blending architecture, art, and astronomy, challenging conventional designs to foster diverse social interactions.
This project integrates a unique 5-meter-wide representation of Venus, produced in collaboration with artist Paul Taylor using photogravure, into the lounge's core.
