During a broadcast on December 26, project director Masayoshi Yokoyama emphasized that all fan theories and speculations regarding Project Century are incorrect. He stated, "We didn't include any information that would enable people to guess, confirming only that Project Century is an action-adventure game similar to previous Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio titles, urging fans to wait for concrete details instead of drawing erroneous conclusions from the pre-alpha footage shared at The Game Awards."
The pre-alpha footage of Project Century reveals little about the game. Yokoyama pointed out that despite speculation, including theories involving much-loved characters and unexpected celebrity cameos, such as a young Makoto Tojo or Snoop Dogg, all assumptions are baseless. He noted, "Every theory I've seen online is wrong, it's important for us to clarify that fans should not jump to conclusions too quickly without the right information.”
