Xbox 360 consoles can now be hacked with just a USB key
Briefly

A new software-only exploit named BadUpdate enables Xbox 360 modders to run homebrew apps and games without opening the console. Unlike previous exploits, BadUpdate requires only a USB key for installation. Users can access the Xbox 360 homebrew store, including various games and utilities. However, this exploit has limitations; each executable must be manually patched, and stability issues are reported. Users must also run the exploit each time they boot the console. Detailed instructions can be found in Modern Vintage Gamer's YouTube video and accompanying GitHub repository.
Unlike the RGH or JTAG exploits for the Xbox 360, this BadUpdate method just requires a USB key.
If you want to take advantage of BadUpdate then you'll also need to manually patch every executable you want to run on your Xbox 360.
