CD Projekt reported a record net profit in 2024 despite not releasing any major titles. Cyberpunk 2077 and its Phantom Liberty DLC significantly contributed to the earnings, totaling nearly 600 million Polish złoty, while The Witcher 3 continues to generate stable revenue even after ten years. The company is investing in expanding the Cyberpunk universe, with plans for new content including a forthcoming animation for Netflix. This performance has made the last year one of the strongest in CD Projekt's history.
"We are very satisfied with the fact that, even in the absence of any major launch, the past year was the third best in the Group's history in terms of net profit," Nielubowicz said in the press release, adding in the video that this marks "the best result we have ever managed in a year which did not include any major releases."
Figures wise, that net profit was nearly 470 million Polish złoty, with Cyberpunk's base game and Phantom Liberty DLC being cited in the release as having "generated nearly 600 million [złoty] in earnings".
As of the end of November, base Cyberpunk had shifted 30 million copies over its entire lifespan, while Phantom Liberty expansion had shifted 8 million, which is nice.
Michał Nowakowski adding: "We are also working to expand the Cyberpunk universe. In 2024 we announced a new animation project, which is currently under development, and which will be released on Netflix."
