Wren Brier, the creative director at Witch Beam, called out Nintendo for not removing "cheap fakes" from the eShop, which are misleading customers into buying clone games.
Brier highlighted the issue by noting that these scam games have been on Nintendo’s eShop for over two weeks without action, prompting frustration from the developers.
Unpacking: Deluxe Edition is sold at a cheaper price and could easily confuse customers, as it appears next to the original Unpacking on the eShop.
This incident follows a pattern for Witch Beam, as they’ve previously confronted the issue of Unpacking clones, including one that reached high rankings on the App Store.
