The reveal trailer for Silent Hill f showcases a promising return to the franchise, set in 1960s Japan and following protagonist Shimizu Hinako. The game features unsettling puzzles and demonic encounters amidst a fog-covered town. Produced by the Silent Hill 2 remake's Motoi Okamoto with significant creative input from writer Ryukishi07 and composer Akira Yamaoka, the game invites players to 'find beauty in terror.' Although no release date is confirmed, it will be available on multiple platforms, marking a shift from exclusivity seen in previous entries.
Bruised and bloodied, we see Hinako exploring her hometown turned upside down by a mysterious evil. Pink and red flowers blossom like mutated, fungal coral throughout the environment.
To this day, I remember the feeling of my first encounter with the strangling and oppressive atmosphere of Silent Hill. It still deeply haunts me, and it still utterly fascinates me.
