In 2007, I began a practice of reflecting on my gaming year by publishing a list of all the video games I played, aiming to highlight the importance of completing games.
The initial purpose of my lists was to normalize finishing games, as I was concerned too many games went unfinished—a sentiment I echoed in my early years as a reporter.
While I posted nearly 110 games played in 2024, this year's list distinctly reflects the games I've enjoyed with my twins, marking a shift in my focus.
Through the years, my approach to these lists has transformed; from stressing the significance of completion to sharing personal favorites, adapting to the evolving landscape of gaming.
