Hazelight Studios, known for its co-op games, has started developing its next title just two weeks after the successful release of Split Fiction. Director Josef Fares expressed excitement about the new project during the Friends Per Second podcast, stating the team is eager to move forward even though specifics cannot be disclosed yet due to the early development stage. He emphasized the studio’s commitment to co-op gameplay as an integral part of their DNA, acknowledging their typical game development timeline of three to four years before unveiling more details.
For me, personally, every time a game is out, I'm kind of done with it. I'm kind of like, 'Okay, now it's the next thing.'
There's a reason why I can't talk about the next game; it's because it's quite early... just know this: we are very, very, very, very excited here.
