One former Bethesda dev thinks Starfield 2 is going to be "one hell of a game", so it's a shame we probably won't get to play it for another decade

In a recent interview, Bruce Nesmith highlighted that building on previous titles like Oblivion made Skyrim successful. He’s optimistic about a potential Starfield sequel.

Nesmith stated, 'I'm looking forward to Starfield 2. I think it's going to be one hell of a game because it's going to address a lot of the things people are saying.'

He compared Starfield's development to franchises like Dragon Age, explaining that sometimes second or third iterations are needed to enhance the overall quality of the game.

Nesmith emphasized that foundational games influence their sequels, stating, 'If we'd had to start from the ground up, that would have been another two or three years of development time.'
