EA has announced that the next installment in the Battlefield series, referred to as Battlefield 6, is expected to launch during the 2026 fiscal year, between April 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026. This news follows an earnings report indicating worse-than-expected performance. The game will be preceded by Battlefield Labs, a private testing initiative to collect player feedback. This proactive approach aims to avoid issues faced by Battlefield 2042. Currently in pre-alpha, the game is developed collaboratively by several studios under Battlefield Studios.
