Margot Robbie's production company LuckyChap will be producing 'a live-action feature film based on the ubiquitous real estate-inspired board game' Monopoly alongside Lionsgate. Hasbro Entertainment will also be involved in the adaptation effort.
Monopoly, a popular board game since 1935, has received numerous iterations, spin-offs, and successful video games. Lionsgate extended development rights to the game in late 2023 with the purchase of eOne.
