Baldur's Gate 3 celebrates its second anniversary, marking two impactful years since its launch. Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke reflects on the success of the RPG, stating it has been life-changing and hints at future projects that will benefit from BG3's success. Although details about the next game, codenamed 'Excalibur', remain undisclosed, Vincke assures players that their experience will be enriched with plenty of fun. The game previously won multiple awards, including Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2023, after a successful early access period.
It's truly been life changing. Probably worth writing about one day. But I can spoil the biggest takeaway. BG3 was what allowed us to do our next crazy thing.
How that will pan out is anyone's guess but I can assure you we're working hard to ensure you'll have plenty of fun... Like really - loads of it.
Larian has been keeping its next project--codenamed 'Excalibur'--under wraps, but confirmed it was giving its 'full attention' to the game.
Baldur's Gate 3 went on to win Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2023, among many other awards and accolades, including GameSpot's Game Of The Year.
