Level-5's latest blog post reveals that Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time has been significantly reworked following critical internal feedback and the departure of producer Keiji Inafune. Originally scheduled for release in 2023, the game will now launch on May 21. Following Inafune's exit last summer, Level-5’s CEO Akihirio Hiro stated that substantial changes were necessary. The development effort expanded to include studios across Japan, leading to improvements in gameplay mechanics including open-world features, parkour, and UI enhancements, resulting in a more polished and enjoyable gaming experience.
Hiro emphasized that after Inafune's departure and the feedback from internal tests, major revisions became necessary to enhance Fantasy Life i, leading to positive developments.
The development team from all across Japan was involved in enhancing Fantasy Life i, introducing open-world exploration, parkour, and refined systems, significantly improving the overall experience.
