Ghost of Tsushima was one of Sony's fastest-selling new games ever at launch and has sold more than 8 million copies to date.
The sequel, Ghost of Yotei, will launch in 2025, moving the series from Tsushima to the stunning landscapes of Hokkaidō.
A movie adaptation of Ghost of Tsushima is also in the works, developed by John Wick's Chad Stahelski for PlayStation Productions.
The trailer for Ghost of Yotei emphasizes the environments and combat, showcasing a female protagonist with skills reminiscent of Jin.
