Japan offers a markedly different environment from previous entries, combining mountainous regions and neon-lit urban streets compared with FH4's English Cotswolds and FH5's Mexican deserts. No gameplay footage appeared during the announcement; the reveal used a drawn-out cutscene showing a garage wall of memorabilia and a view of Mount Fuji.
