Final Fantasy Creator Wants To Make Spiritual Successor To The Most Beloved Game In The Series
Briefly

Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of Final Fantasy, plans to develop a new game inspired by Final Fantasy 6 after the release of Fantasian: Neo Dimension. Originally intending for Fantasian to be his last project, Sakaguchi opted to continue working with his enjoyable team. The new game aims to blend nostalgia with innovation, calling it a 'successor' to Final Fantasy 6. While challenges exist in remaking classics, industry peers believe such revitalizations can be successful, hinting at future potential for classic game remakes within the genre.
I was thinking of making Fantasian: Neo Dimension my final work, but the fantastic team that was assembled to complete this project was so enjoyable to work with that I found it hard to part ways.
Our goal is to create something old but new at the same time. It'll be part two of my farewell note.
